The Claim: Romans says Jesus was a descendent of David, but the passages in Luke were about Joseph and Mary, and Mary was with child but she was still a virgin. So according to Luke, Jesus is not a descendent of David.
The Explanation: If I were to hold a poll for the most ridiculous contradiction claim, this would be one of the contenders.
In no way is Luke saying that Jesus was not a descendent of David. It actually says the opposite.
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David,

The genealogy of Jesus isn’t even found in Luke chapter 1 or 2, it’s in Luke chapter 3.

Luke 3:23-38
As you can see from the highlighted part above, Jesus is clearly a descendent from David. There is no contradiction here.
